CDBG FUNDED ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

City of Calabasas – CDBG Funded Assistance Programs

The City of Calabasas utilizes its Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding to provide housing rehabilitation and public service programs to serve the needs of its low- and moderate-income residents.  Participation is based on income eligibility limitations (see below) and additional program requirements apply.  Assistance is provided only for Calabasas residents and properties.  Funding is limited, and provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Residential Rehabilitation Program

The Residential Rehabilitation program provides financial assistance for the repair of single family residential properties, including mobile homes on permanent foundations.  Funds are available for direct grants of up to $5,000, and deferred zero percent interest loans of up to $10,000, depending upon housing type and needs.  A wide range of exterior and interior repairs are eligible for funding including plumbing, electrical, roofing, and painting.  For a complete list of eligible repairs, to obtain additional information, and/or to receive an application, please contact Art Casanas, the City’s CDBG Housing Rehabilitation Program Consultant, at (909) 476-9696, x221.
