AND COMMERCIAL PROPERTY OWNERS:
NOTICE:
A new fee adopted by the State of California and signed into law
by Governor Schwarzenegger will take effect on January 1, 2009.
The fee will provide funding for the development of new codes
and standards by the California Building Standards Commission,
State Fire Marshal, and Department of Housing and Community
Development. Emphasis will be on the development and adoption of
new green building standards and will provide guidelines and
requirements to reduce environmental consequences associated
with new construction. The fee will be collected by the City of
Calabasas Building and Safety Division, effective January 1,
2009.
